What we're about... The Big Act aims to provide high quality drama, dance and singing workshops in a relaxed, fun and friendly atmosphere. We want to impart our vitality and passion for the performing arts on every child. We will develop and nurture every student's skills to enable them to truly reach their potential.
What We Do We hold Saturday morning classes (10am-1pm) in comfortable, well equipped facilities, teaching a wide range of skills in acting, singing and dancing, tailored to the ages 8-10, 11-13 and 14-16. We also run a Little Act class designed for 4-7 year olds on a Saturday afternoon.
Through a specially created curriculum, our classes in drama, dance and singing develop skills which are not just used in the theatre but are also important in everyday life. Skills such as self-discipline, commitment and working as part of a team which help develop confidence and maturity.
Classes are led by highly skilled teachers and each term, we also have professionals from the fields of Theatre, TV and Film leading master classes in everything from vocal technique to stage combat!
We regularly host a variety of workshops in drama, dance and singing to showcase to family and friends. Once a year we also produce a large scale production in a professional venue involving the whole school.
